FAQ’s
Why Should I Whiten My Teeth?
A brighter, whiter smile dramatically changes your appearance and your approach to life. It can give you a greater sense of confidence to live life to the fullest.
With XpresSmile, you have access to a fast way to whiten teeth with wonderful results.
How White Will My Teeth Get?
Results will vary from person to person but it is not unusual to see a 2 to 8 shade difference in one treatment. An additional 20 minute session may be needed to get even more dramatic results.
How Long Will My Results Last?
One to two years is not unusual, but we do recommend that you care for your newly white teeth with our XpresSmile pen. Typically, we recommend pursuing a “refreshment” treatment in about 6-12 months.
Does XpresSmile Whiten Crowns or Veneers?
Yes, stains can be removed from crowns and veneers but the original color of the veneer can not be changed.
Is XpresSmile safe?
Yes, research shows that if the teeth and gums are healthy there are no adverse effects to whitening. The gels and light are FDA approved as cosmetic products and hydrogen peroxide has been used to whiten teeth for years.
Are There any Side Effects to Teeth Whitening?
Usually no, some people may feel a little tingling sensation, white gum line, or sensitivity. All of which are normal and typically last for only a few hours.
Will The Gels You Offer Be The Same As From My Family Dentist?
Absolutely, our partner in dentistry actually supplies a great deal of product to dentist offices throughout the nation. However the key to the success of our whitening system is our patent-pending blue light technology which increases the potency of whitening in fraction of the time and cost.
How Much Does Teeth Whitening Cost?
With XpresSmile, you can get a 20 minute session for less than $150.

How Does Teeth Whitening Work?
There are two types of tooth stains: “extrinsic,” those stains that are on the surface of the tooth, and “intrinsic,” those stains that are on the inside of the tooth. Both types of staining show through the enamel as discoloration. While whitening toothpaste and chewing gums may be effective for removing extrinsic stains, they are not designed to work inside the tooth to remove the darker, more challenging intrinsic stains.
Most whitening kits use a form of Peroxide to bleach the teeth. The most popular formulations, including those used by most dentists, contain Carbamide Peroxide or Hydrogen Peroxide. Both of these Peroxides do the same thing, because they have a chemical relationship! However, Hydrogen Peroxide used with a blue LED light produces the fastest results.
It works like this: the active ingredient in the solution breaks down, allowing oxygen to enter the enamel and dentin, thereby bleaching the teeth to a lighter color.
